A BIG THANK YOU!!!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out and spent some time before our Eucharistic Lord these past three days during our parish’s Forty Hours devotion.  Thank you to all who participated in any way to make these past several days special.  I especially want to express my gratitude to Father Dennis Klemash for his thought provoking homilies.  As Father Dennis said in tonight’s homily…Pope John XXIII invited us to open the window, Pope Benedict XVI invited us to open the door, and Pope Francis encourages us to take it the parking lot.  For those who missed it we had a beautiful procession with the Blessed Sacrament inside the Church and out around the exterior of the Church back to the adoration chapel.  We took Jesus out to the parking lot tonight and I encourage all of us to take Christ with us from the Church, to the parking lot and out into the streets to all we meet!  Thank you all for making our parish’s Forty Hours devotion so special!!!

Sunday afternoon over 200 people attended the Virtual Pilgrimage to Lourdes, conducted by Frances Salaun, from the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospitality North American Lourdes Volunteers.

Many hearts and souls were touched and people were "happy and elated" that the Pilgrimage was brought to our Parish.

Many thanks to Frances Salaun, Fr. Carroll, our Evangelization Team, and our volunteers who helped to make this a very spiritual journey for all.

HOW TO BEGIN LENT BY SHARING YOUR FAITH!

A friend who recently moved and was part of our Evangelization Team Shared the following:

"Hello, I wanted to share something with you that I thought was awesome. My boss is from India. Although I am not up on their religion, I know he is Hindu. He loves chocolate and I informed him we need to get it out of the office because I was giving it up for lent. He asked me to explain. So I told him as a Catholic I participate in Lent by giving something up that is a struggle because I feel Jesus died for my sins and this is the least I can do to show Him my appreciation.

I also explained this is a time of growing closer to Him. And that not all give up something. Some people do other good deeds. So he thought a moment and said "I can do that!  I will give up chocolate with you and I will volunteer somewhere once a week!". I said that was awesome. he went home Tuesday and discussed it with his wife and together they are volunteering Wednesday evenings and he did give up chocolate as well!

I know he believes in God... I just thought it cool that he and his wife are doing this. Have a wonderful day in the Lord!  Love and miss you all."

All it takes is sharing your Love for Jesus in your Daily Life and Activities!
