Looking ahead to the weekend...

Don't forget this Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday.  Father C will be offering additional confession times this weekend for those who wish to receive the grace of the Sacrament.

Confession

Saturday from 4pm - 5pm and after Mass - 7:30pm
Sunday after the 11am Mass - 1pm and 4pm - 5pm

The Divine Mercy Service will be held at 3pm

Also this weekend the Church will celebrate the canonization of two new Saints.  His Holiness Pope Francis will canonize two of his venerable predecessors Pope John XIII and Pope John Paul II.  This is a big weekend for us in the Church and how fitting we celebrate the canonization of these two great popes then to do it on Divine Mercy Sunday!

Before I forget...with this big weekend and lots going on, it is surely possible one may find it difficult to cook.  Never fear...our parish's Knights of Columbus Council will be having a Chicken BBQ this Sunday.  Please consider supporting them this weekend for they do a lot for our parish.

Happy Easter...what is going on this week.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Once again I extend to all of you and your families my Easter greetings!  Please know you and your families are in my thoughts and prayers.  Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend.  It was awesome to see a packed Church on Easter Sunday.  I took this picture of the Church decorated for Easter early this morning.  There is no doubt we have a beautiful Church!  Of course the Church is more than a building but is made up by the faithful who gather week after week in this sacred place which makes it all the more beautiful.

For everyone's information...here is the schedule for the Octave of Easter

Mass will be celebrated Monday thru Thursday at 5:15pm.  On Friday we will celebrate Mass at 8:30am with the School Community.

Confessions will be heard...

Monday from 4:30pm - 5pm and after Mass - 6:30pm

Tuesday - Thursday from 4:30pm - 5pm

Friday from Noon - 1pm

Saturday from 4pm - 5pm and after Mass - 7:30pm

Sunday from Noon - 1pm and 4pm - 5pm

On Sunday afternoon we will have the service for Divine Mercy Sunday at 3pm

As we move forward this week may we remember that we are in the midst of the Easter Octave and may we make the extra effort this week to continue to radiate the Easter Joy to all those we encounter.

Happy Easter Everyone!!!

It was a beautiful Easter Vigil this evening. What a great way to begin the Easter celebration! I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Mass tomorrow at either the 7:30am, 9am, and 11am. Remember there is NO 5:30PM Evening Mass tomorrow night! Come early and celebrate joyfully the day of the Lord's Resurrection.

Our Holy Father in his homily encouraged all of us rediscover our faith in the risen Lord. We are called to stir up the fire of His divine love and allow that fire to truly motivate us in everything we do. I am happy to provide a copy to every family who attends our Easter Services this weekend a copy of Matthew Kelly's book Rediscovering Catholicism! This was made possible through the contributions of a generous anonymous benefactor. We are all called this Easter to rediscover our faith and renew the promises that we made or were made for us at our baptism. May we radiate and share this Easter Joy with all we meet. Our Lord is risen! Alleluia...Alleluia!!!
